Progressive Property runs training for the property and business industry from a base at Cygnet Park in Peterborough and co-founder Rob Moore set up his own foundation to support budding young business entrepreneurs.

Last spring they appealed to the online community who follow and support his events, seminars and tutorials via social media.

Rob ran tutorial online video events where guests were invited to donate instead of paying their usual fee. They quickly raised £10,000 between them to go towards NHS Charities Together after the concerns about drastic shortages in PPE and other equipment for care workers. The Rob Moore Foundation matched that with another £10,000 to help NHS staff and volunteers to care for Covid patients.

Co-founder of the 14-year-old business, Mark Homer, had seen family members affected by coronavirus, which spurred the team on to help.

In their latest endeavour, Rob had an idea to celebrate his birthday recently. He said: “This year for my birthday instead of asking for presents I asked for donations.

“I’ve raised over £18,000 so far for my Rob Moore Foundation and for the Prince’s Trust, to help underprivileged people start a business.”

“he foundation usually helps people to start up their business and get a better financial education, especially young and under-privileged people.

Rob said: “I was recently made RISE board member for the Prince’s Trust and we are collaborating to run the first Young Entrepreneurs Summit.

“We have billionaires and famous successful business people/celebrities speaking at this global online summit.”

Rob’s foundation has also been offering just over £3,000 to a start-up or scale-up entrepreneur with a “meaningful” business model that could change lives. He particularly wanted to hear from people who had overcome challenging circumstances in their life or upbringing, to earn an equal opportunity to be self-sufficient and successful. The money would help get them through scholarships, apprenticeships, education and inspiration. They could also benefit from mentoring to develop their talents or acquire the necessary learning materials, such as computers and books.”
