Peterborough’s culture and leisure services: Latest updates on re-opening ahead of Vivacity transfer to council

On September 17, leisure centres, libraries, heritage and arts services in Peterborough are transferring from Vivacity to two city council-run bodies.

Vivacity announced it was ending its contract to run the services earlier this year due to the financial impact of the coronavirus.

The trust’s 490 employees will transfer to either City College Peterborough (142) or Peterborough Limited (348) ahead of the handover.

Ahead of the transfer from Vivacity to both organisations, below is the latest update on the services it currently operates and whether they have yet to re-open following lockdown.
