Park Air Systems showcase STEM job opportunities

STEM jobs available – and the business is working with local schools to inspire the next generation

Park Air Systems, a local high tech engineering employer, is passionate about staying ahead of the technology curve by inspiring the next generation to take up STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) careers.

The Park Air Systems team hosted the final day of a programme called STEM Potential, led by Oundle School in partnership with Imperial College London, and part of the OPEN Learning Partnership (a regional independent-state school enterprise). Over 30 Students preparing for 6th Form or University completed a week long STEM related course at Oundle School, culminating with hands-on practical experience of modern design and manufacturing at the company’s high tech site in Market Deeping.

During the visit students were introduced to the range of air traffic control radios and systems designed and built by the company, which are used at all UK airports and in 180 countries worldwide. Following a site tour they completed hands-on activities and a technical demonstration. Park Air has a long-term commitment to work with local schools, helping facilitate events throughout the year which support the school curriculum and inspire teenagers into STEM subject and careers.
