Marks and Spencer announce cafe closure in Peterborough
Marks and Spencer is to close one if its cafes in Peterborough this summer
The decision has been taken to close the cafe located in the M&S Food Store at Serpentine Green in Hampton.
The cafe at the Brotherhoods Retail Park is unaffected and will remain open.
The cafe at Serpentine Green is expected to close in July before being repurposed to extend the shop’s food offering over the summer.

M&S told the Peterborough Telegraph that the move will see more than 200 additional products added to its Serpentine Green store- from more fresh produce to a much wider horticulture section.
An M&S spokesperson said: “We know many of our customers want to be able to shop a wider range of our delicious M&S Food products.
"That’s why after reviewing our Serpentine Green store, we will be re-purposing the café space later this summer to allow us to provide more product choice to customers.
"We understand this will be disappointing news for some of our customers, however our team will continue working hard to serve them in-store.”
The closure comes as part of a national move to “provide more choice and improve the shopping experience.”
