Non-essential shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants have all been shut since before Christmas due to the national COVID lockdown.
On Monday, many will be re-opening as part of the first part of restrictions being lifted.
‘Cafe culture’ is set to be embraced in the city, with many outdoor areas set up for people to enjoy a meal or drink.
To help encourage residents to come back into the city centre, there will be free parking at Peterborough City Council run car parks.
Free parking will be available from April 12 until April 18.
