Three day Drive-in Experience event in Peterborough cancelled

The event had been planned from August 6-9 with drive-in movies, tribute music acts and DJ sets but low ticket sales have forced the cancellation of all three days.

Organisers said in a statement on the East of England Arena website: “It is with great sadness we have to advise that the Drive-In Experience at the East of England Arena, Peterborough will not be going ahead as planned...

“Firstly we want to say a massive thank you for purchasing your ticket/s and supporting us in what are unprecedented times for everyone. We are a very small independent business that has worked tirelessly over the past couple of months to put on a number of events for people in very difficult and troubled times and fully appreciate the commitment you have made to us.

“Sadly, we have not seen the demand for tickets as expected (this is down to many many factors) and as a result, it is simply is not financially viable to run the planned series of shows in their full entirety. We are truly sorry for the disappointment or inconvenience this may have caused you, however, we are still running the events in Thetford and Norwich and with this in mind, we are pleased to inform you that the ticket/s you have purchased can be transferred to the Thetford or Norwich locations:

“Not only that, as an extra bonus and to show our appreciation of your commitment in buying a ticket early on with us we will upgrade your ticket to a FULL DAY ticket totally free of charge!!

“Given the recent changes in the government guidelines, we are now allowed to let people attend who do not have or want to bring a car. This means you will be given your own personal marked out “safe zone” where you can have up to 6 people join you. You will also have your own personal benches and a table to sit down and relax on and enjoy the full day’s entertainment.

“If you do not wish to transfer your ticket and would like a full refund then we fully understand. Please let us know the email you have purchased your ticket with and we will refund your ticket.
