Card Factory plans move into former Peterborough pub building

Card Factory is set to become the latest retailer to move into a former pub building in Peterborough.

The card giant has submitted a planning application for new signage on the side of the former Ploughman pub building on Staniland Way at the Werrington Centre.

The retailer is set to move into the unit on the far right side of the converted building.

Work has been completed to create three retail units at the site, with one of these already being occupied by Greggs.

The popular community pub closed in 2024 and there remains planning approval for a sports bar at the site.

The proposed Card Factory will be the fifth in the city with locations already open in Queensagte, Bretton Centre, Brotherhood Retail Park, Serpentine Green and Ortongate Shopping Centre.

The Peterborough Telegraph has contacted Card Factory for further details.
