Boots store in Whittlesey to close

The chemists in High Causeway will close at the end of August, although the one at New Queen Street Surgery will remain open.

A Boots spokesperson said: “At Boots UK we continually review our store locations to make sure they are where our customers need us most.

“It is never a decision we take lightly when looking to close a store. We have taken the decision to close the store on High Causeway, Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire and can confirm the store will be closing at the end of August 2020.

“The New Queen Street Surgery will continue to offer pharmacy services to our customers.”

The Peterborough Telegraph asked Boots what will happen to the staff at the High Causeway store.

The spokesperson replied: “Colleagues have been made aware of the plans and will be offered jobs at the nearby Boots stores.”
