The newly buoyant Fairline Yachts is about to showcase its latest luxury model at the prestigious Cannes International Boat Show.

The Oundle-based manufacturer, which was created from the former business Fairline Boats, which collapsed with 400 job losses last year, will exhibit its 53 feet Targa 53 Open to a global audience at the show in September.

Details of the firm’s presence at the show come shortly after the company announced that it had just recruited its 100th member of staff - carpenter, Giles Wheatley, who had previously worked for Fairline Boats for nine years.

“The event is a clear demonstration of our stated intent to bring Fairline back to its rightful place in the global leisure marine market.”

It is an impressive performance by Fairline Yachts, which was created after two Russian investors bought the Fairline Boats business at the start of the year.
