A new co-worker space has opened in Peterborough

An £800,000 co-worker space has opened in Hampton with backing from BBC Apprentice finalist Khadija Kalifa.

She, along with city mayor Cllr Gul Nawaz, welcomed 70-plus guests to the new business on Braymere Road on Thursday.

She said: “I cannot tell you how important these spaces are. I grew up in Hampton, so it’s great to see it move with the times.”

Man behind the venture is director George Georgiou, who wanted to stress the local credentials of the business.

“There is not a part of this that hasn’t had a local hand on it,” he said. “Our aim is to help with work/life balance. Alot of people struggle to work from home, but here you have all the support you could want, the business will work around you because we have a shared services centre here and the whole set-up is designed to work around the individual.

“We want this to be seen as a flagship co-working space that’s a short walk or drive from home, shops and the countryside.”

Superfast wi-fi, resident desks and meeting rooms are all available. Space can be reserved from as little as an hour at time.
