When to see award-winning family musical HONK! in Peterborough
Olivier Award winning family musical HONK! by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe will be performed live outdoors at The Cloisters, Peterborough Cathedral, this summer.
The musical which will be directed and choreographed by Daniel Bell and Katherine Hickmott, of KD Productions, will be performed against the stunning backdrop of Peterborough Cathedral with a professional cast of musical theatre performers.
Katherine and Daniel said in a joint statement: “We are thrilled to be working with the team at Peterborough Cathedral to perform this fantastic musical which is full of clever, inspiring songs, larger than life characters and a whole lot of heart.
“Throughout the past year, we’ve done everything we can to continue entertaining our audiences, and to welcome them back safely outdoors this summer in such a stunning environment means the world to us.”
A spokesman for Peterborough Cathedral added: “We are delighted that KD Theatre will be opening our series of family-friendly theatre shows in the Cloisters with their production of HONK! on August 7.
“It promises to be a wonderful afternoon, with lots of laughs and a heart-warming story for all to enjoy. What better way of spending a summer afternoon than in a beautiful outdoor space with live theatrical entertainment!”
The musical will play on Saturday, August 7, at 2pm. The gates will open one hour prior to the performance for audience members to bring picnics and enjoy the surroundings of the garden.
