Doors to reopen at the Key Theatre with Sir Cliff tribute show and films

On the stage on October 14 with a socially distanced audience will be Jimmy Jemain and the Undercover  Shadows in a charity performance,

This concert is a celebration of Sir Cliff Richard’s 80th birthday on this day, and Jimmy and his brilliant band will be recreating all of Cliff’s hits and a few from the Shadows too.

It is all in aid of The East Anglian Air Ambulance.

The concert is followed by a series of screenings - two recorded performances and a number of cinema favourites including horror for Halloween!

On October 18 see Michael Ball and Alfie Boe: Together Again, as the musical duo were filmed in the final show of their UK tour at the O2 Arena. 

The superstar pair will take on their favourite musical theatre, pop and rock tracks, including songs from The Lion King, The Greatest Showman and The Phantom of the Opera as well as a brilliantly arranged ‘Queen Medley’.

Showcasing their phenomenal voices and undeniable on-stage chemistry, Ball and Boe’s irresistible charm will undoubtedly light up the big screen.

Another music icon can be seen on the screen on November 6 and 8.

Stevie Nicks 24Karat Gold sees the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer recorded over two nights during her sold-out 24 Karat Gold Tour.

The film features a set-list of fan favorites and rare gems from Stevie’s multi-platinum selling catalogue. The film also highlights Stevie’s intuitive and intimate storytelling abilities, captivating audiences with personal stories behind some of the most famous songs in music history.

Stevie Nicks has had six Top Ten albums, 8 Grammy nominations and is the first woman to be twice inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame - with Fleetwood Mac in 1998 and as a solo artist in 2019.

The Silver Screenings series kicks of with Misbehaviour. (October 23).

On October 28 you can see Hope Gap, with Annette Bening and Bill Nighy co-starring as a longtime couple on the verge of divorce.

It is a drama that’s tastefully restrained to a fault in a particularly British manner. Veteran screenwriter William Nicholson, a two-time Oscar nominee, based the film on his Tony-nominated play The Retreat from Moscow. The title was inspired by Napoleon’s invasion of - and messy withdrawal from -the Russian city, a subject that fascinates Nighy’s character and serves as an obvious metaphor for the destruction of his own marriage

Horror fans are in for a double treat on October 30 and 31 with The Shining and Halloween both showing.

The Shining stars Jack Nicholson as Jack Torrance, who becomes winter caretaker at the isolated Overlook Hotel in Colorado, hoping to cure his writer’s block.

He settles in along with his wife, Wendy (Shelley Duvall), and his son, Danny (Danny Lloyd), who is plagued by psychic premonitions.

As Jack’s writing goes nowhere and Danny’s visions become more disturbing, Jack discovers the hotel’s dark secrets and begins to unravel into a homicidal maniac hell-bent on terrorizing his family. 

On a cold Halloween night in 1963, six year old Michael Myers brutally murdered his 17-year-old sister, Judith. He was sentenced and locked away for 15 years.

But on October 30, 1978, while being transferred for a court date, a 21-year-old Michael Myers steals a car and escapes Smith’s Grove.
