Three teenagers have been arrested after a 'large amount of class A drugs' were found in a Peterborough home.

The arrests were made on Wednesday by officers in the Dogsthorpe Road area of the city.

A police spokesman said: "Some of our Neighbourhood Support Team were out on patrol in the Dogsthorpe Road area on Wednesday afternoon when they spotted what looked like a drug deal.

"On seeing our officers approach them, the group of teens ran into a house but unfortunately for them they led us to a large amount of class A drugs.

"Three 17-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs. After spending the evening with us at Thorpe Wood Police Station, they’ve been released while we investigate further."
