Road closure on Frank Perkins Parkway due to concerns for person

Police closed the northbound carriageway of the Frank Perkins Parkway at Boongate due to concerns for a person’s welfare.

Cambridgeshire police tweeted this morning: “Police are dealing with an incident on the parkway near Boongate. There is a road closure on the northbound carraigeway. Please avoid area.”

However, the force has now tweeted that the road has re-opened.

Asked for further information, a police spokesman said: “Police were called today at 12.21am to reports of concern for a person.

Emergency services attended and the road was closed as a precaution.

“The woman was found safe and taken to Peterborough City Hospital.”
