Police say no arrests have been made following early morning reports

Armed police were called to Peterborough city centre this morning after officers received reports of a man armed with a knife.

A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said they were called at about 7.50am today (Thursday) with reports of a man with a knife in Park Road, Peterborough.

The armed officers were also spotted in Broadway and Church Walk.

Armed Response Units attended and CCTV enquiries were made but the spokesperson said that no arrests have been made.
