Popular Peterborough city centre bar reopens after 7 months
The bar, on Church Street, closed in March as part of the government’s lockdown measures to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.
It chose not to open when restrictions were eased on July 4 - ironically the fourth anniversary of it opening - and instead will reopen tomorrow (Saturday).

Hide AdThe team took to social media yesterday, announcing; “Back by popular demand....The Stoneworks! It’s been a while, but this Saturday we will be back at doing what we do best, slinging great drinks to incredible people in a safe space. We’ve spent our down time upgrading our cold store and working tirelessly to find a way to make our drinking environment as safe as possible.”
There will of course be measures in place, with no walk-ins or outdoor drinking allowed, instead “sessions” will have to be booked in advance.
The facebook post went on: “Let us introduce you to the Stoneworks Sessions, a booking only timed session where you can enjoy everything Stoneworks with added extras like table service. Each session will have a “buy-in” which will be credited back to you IN FULL via our new Stoneworks Black Cards. Once you’ve spent your credit you can go ahead and pay on card as normal, if you dont spend all your credit the remaining balance will simply stay on your card until the next time you use it.”
