One day, whilst sitting in his kitchen, where he has most of his best ideas, Chris Sargeant decided that he would like to open a burger restaurant with a difference…

A restaurant that would make everything by hand, using only the freshest and finest ingredients.

Chris, together with his two brothers, found the perfect location for their first family-run restaurant at Brindleyplace, in his home town of Birmingham, and so handmade burger Co was born way back in 2006.

Nine years later there are 22 family owned restaurants across the country - soon to be 23 when the Peterborough branch opens in the former Old Still pub in Westgate Arcade, Queensgate Shopping Centre, on April 10.

And you can win a meal for six - six burgers , six sides and six drinks - to enjoy any time after that.

Handmade burger Co. are passionate about great, fresh food and only use the finest ingredients for you to enjoy. There’s no compromise on quality and they only use the best British suppliers.

They are famous for their award winning burgers which are handmade from traditionally reared, grass fed, 100% fully traceable prime Scotch beef.

Their chefs make over 40 varieties of handmade and hand pressed burgers from scratch everyday. As each burger is made by hand, you can tailor your burger with a range of toppings to have it just like you want it!

The menu also has a wide selection of fabulous chicken and vegetarian options, plus a great menu range for children too, all made from the freshest and finest ingredients.

Handmade chips are made from the mighty Maris Piper potato, as the floury texture helps to create a perfect golden chip that is fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside.

The restaurants receive deliveries of farm fresh potatoes up to six times a week to ensure that the chips are as fresh as possible. You’ll even spot the potato sacks when you visit - they never use frozen chips!

Each potato is peeled, cut and double fried to give you fresh chips that will rival any homemade ones.

The sour dough buns come from a fourth generation family bakery, made with a recipe that Chris helped to come up with.

Like everything else they serve, the relishes are handmade to guarantee great flavours every time - you’ll find red peppers added to the handmade coleslaw to give it that special touch…

Handmade burger Co. are passionate about fresh food and ingredients which sets them apart from their competitors.

And their restaurant teams deliver that passion for fresh, handmade food, through great service, attention and care for their very special customers.
