After 10 years, Olivier and Academy Award® winner Martin McDonagh returns to the stage with Matthew Dunster’s award winning production of this black-comedy play.

Set in the 1960s, Hangmen is based on Harry Wade, Britain’s second-best professional executioner, who finds himself with nothing to do on the day they’ve banned hanging. Being a local celebrity in his home town, pub regulars and reporters head to his pub desperate to hear his reaction to the news, all with different motives behind their visit.

Following a sell-out run and great cast, including David Morrissey, Andy Nyman and Johnny Flynn, Hangmen is a West End hit not to be missed.

Mark Barlow, General Manager, UK Theatres at Showcase Cinema says, “Hangmen is proving to be hugely popular, with 5 star ratings across the board from critics. We’re pleased to join forces with National Theatre Live to give our customers the opportunity to watch the production from the best seat in the house and comfort of their local cinema”.
