Wednesday, 11.45am: Peterborough Travel Choice Week 2013 continues to celebrate the fitness benefits of biking and the health wonders of walking with events around the city.

The cycling cinema makes a welcome return after a successful 2012 this year’s outdoor films (all free, starting at 7pm) are:

Toy Story 3 at Stanground Recreation Ground on Thursday 19 September;

Brave at Bretton Park, Flaxland, Bretton on Friday 20 September;

The Life of Pi at Hampton Vale, Horseshoe Way on Saturday 21 September.

The cinemas are powered by different bikes attached to the screen so you will be powering the film for all the viewers.

Guided walks for the rest of the week:

Wednesday 18th:

1pm (30 – 40mins) From Town Hall, City Centre

5.30pm (30 mins) From Regional Fitness & Swimming Centre

Thursday 19th: 6pm (45mins) From Jack Hunt Pool, Netherton

Friday 20th: 11am (90mins) From Botolph Arms Pub, Oundle Road

Sunday 22nd: 8am (60mins) From Thorpe Wood Golf Course Car Park, Thorpe Wood

Bike rides:

A family friendly bike ride from Peakirk to Peterborough city centre takes place on Saturday, 21 September from 10am to 12.30pm. Meet at the Bluebell pub in Glinton).

A similar bike ride from Werrington Sports Centre to John Clare Cottage, in Helpston, runs on Sunday, 22 September from 11am to 2pm.
