The anticipated summer opening of the Kaspa's Desserts retaurant in Peterborough is expected to add to the city centre's booming cafe culture.

Kaspa’s Desserts, a rapidly growing chain which offers a wide selection of hot and cold desserts from across the world, is currently taking shape behind hoarding in Bridge Street.

When it opens - with the summer still mooted as the launch date - it will seat 70 on the ground floor and another 62 in the basement.

In addition is has applied to city planners for permission for a outdoor seating area - raising ther number of covers by another 20 to a whopping 152, although permission will still be needed from the council’s licensing team.

Diners can expect a wide selection of gelatos, waffles, crepes, milk shakes, smoothies and sundaes when the dessert parlour eventually takes its place alongside Tamu in Cowgate, Creations in Burghley Road and the still to open Creams in North Street serving Peterborough’s sweet-loving public.
