If you like your beer, Stanground is the place to be this weekend.
Meri Hyde is celebrating a year at The Heron with a First Anniversary Beer Festival from Friday (April 17) to Sunday.
It is a big thank you to the community and to CAMRA and local brewers for their support.
The bar, function room and massive beer garden will all be open and there will be beers from the likes of Bexar, Tydd Steam, Castor Ales, Nene Valley- and even a special vanilla stout called Paper Heron from Star Brewery.
The beerfest will also see the Heron become the first city pub to feature a beer from Corby-based Shoulder of Mutton Brewery called Windmill (4.2%). And another newcomer Red Brewery from Great Stoughton will be on show with Stoughton Gold (4%).
There is music on Friday night from Soul Sisters and on Saturday from Blues House (5.30pm) and Psycho Bombs (9pm).
The Woolpack in Stanground has its own Sussex Beers themed beer festival from Friday to Sunday.
There is live music from Ian Graham and Kat Moore on Friday (9pm), The Rocket Dogs on Saturday (9pm) and classical guitarist Steve Bean on Sunday (4pm)
