Polka Dot Academy and Limelight Youth Theatre students take to the stage at Spalding’s South Holland Centre on Saturday (November 29) with A Christmas Carol.

Taken from the classic novel by Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol tells the story of Scrooge, an old man who isolates himself from anyone that he comes across. After accusing his clerk Bob Cratchit of theft, he is taken on a mysterious journey through his life, meeting the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Yet to Come.

It is directed by Phil Norton and Darren O’Sullivan and Phil said: “Rehearsals have gone really well, the cast of local youngsters are really enjoying working together in preparation for the annual Christmas production where both Polka Dot Academy and Limelight Youth Theatre students all combine their efforts to display their excellent talents in singing, acting and dance.

“We really hope that the local community will support the children by coming along to see the show. The students started work on this production back in September and love nothing more than being rewarded through showcasing their efforts.”

There are performances at 1:30pm and 6:30pm. Tickets cost £11.00 (concessions £10.00, family of four £40.00).
