Peterborough theatregoers will be treated to an exclusive new show this Christmas as Bill Kenwright presents the next instalment in the Dreamboats saga.
Created especially for the new season at The Broadway Theatre, Dreamboats and Petticoats: The Christmas Party will make its premiere on December 22.
In what is being billed as the ultimate Christmas rock ‘n’ roll party, the talented teenagers from Essex get ready for the concert of their lives - live on national television.
Bobby, Laura, Norman and Sue will perform everyone’s favourite festive hits and Christmas tunes including Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree, Jingle Bell Rock and Little Drummer Boy, live from St Mungo’s, the youth club where their road to love and rock ‘n’ roll fame all began.
Anna Campkin, who plays Donna and David Luke who plays Ray, are both extremely excited to be back performing in Peterborough for this festive special.
Anna said: “The people of Peterborough always make such a great audience and they are going to love this fun packed show.
“There will be all of your favourite festive tunes to sing and dance in the aisle’s too. It’s what Christmas is all about - spreading love and joy and having lots of fun!”
David added: “The show offers something for all of the family and features all of the very best Christmas songs. It’s the perfect family show.”
This is the third instalment in the Dreamboats series, which began in 2009 with Dreamboats and Petticoats, which was inspired by the chart-topping album of the same name and introduced theatregoers to the Essex teenagers as they battled to win a national song-writing competition.
Dreamboats and Petticoats: The Christmas Party runs from December 22 to 27, with tickets priced from £19.50 to £55. To book your tickets please visit the website at http://thebroadwaypeterborough.co.uk/ or call the box office on 01733 822225.
