A new events company is boasting a line-up of sporting giants across several dates in 2013.

Geoffrey Boycott, Sir Steve Redgrave, Jason Leonard and three members of England’s 1966 World Cup winning team will attend about their careers, across four glitzy evenings in Spalding.

JT PromotionLtd, established by John and Linda Turnell, has created the exciting series of talks entitled ‘AnEveningWith’.

All four events will be taking place at Springfields Events Centre, with the first one featuring cricketing legend Geoff Boycott OBE on April 25.

Five times olympic gold medallist Sir Steve Redgrave will appear on July 11, and an England rugby triple header to include Bill Beaumont, Rory Underwood and England’s most capped player, Jason Leonard OBE will be held on September 12.

The year will be rounded off on November 14 with three ‘Heroes of ‘66’: Gordon Banks OBE, Martin Peters MBE and Sir Geoff Hurst.

All events will include a two course supper and tables are for a maximum of 10 people.

John said: “This corner of the country does sometimes seem to be starved of big names so we thought we would try a new direction and start up this new company to bring sporting stars to Spalding.

“Seeing big stars at this type of event was something that interested me, so I thought there could be a wider demand for it.

“We are starting out with people from the world of sport but we could broaden our horizons in the future to put on events that appeal to a wider audience.

“We have four events lined up for this year and we’ll just wait and see what sort of response we get.

“Geoffrey remains one of the greatest players this country has ever produced.

“It is worth noting that he holds the record for the most first class centuries scored by an Englishman since the war; going to the crease in excess of one thousand times

“The game of cricket has changed in so many ways since Geoff Boycott was in his batting prime and his observations on today’s game will, no doubt, be of great interest to them.”

The prices for a table of 10 range from Gold (£450) to Bronze (£350), while individual tickets are also available.
