Pupils in Year 8 at Oundle School have enjoyed a variety of cultural activities as part of the school’s annual Culture Week.

This year’s theme for the week was Echoes of War, and featured activities such as watching old school film footage taken between 1911 and 1914, along with the chance to explore what the school was like during this time by looking at old photographs, letters and artefacts.

There was also an opportunity for the pupils to enter the archive competition, where they had to write a letter from a pupil to an old Oundelian.

Director of studies, Ben Evans, said: “We hope to break down the barriers between individual subjects and instead allow the pupils to explore and learn within a framework that is unconstrained.”
