A Peterborough singer will try to impress famous faces in the world of music when she tries out on BBC show The Voice.
Vanessa Hunt will follow twins Hannah and Naomi Moxon, who are called Classical Reflection, in trying to make it through the audition stage this Saturday, February 21.
Vanessa (27) who lives in Wisbech, but works across Peterborough for Bunzl Cleaning and Hygiene Supplies, said performing in front of Sir Tom Jones, Ricky Wilson, Rita Ora and Will.i.am was terrifying.
She added: “It was absolutely surreal. I never get ill but the night before I had a sore throat so I was taking everything I could like Strepsils, honey and lemon.
“I was nervous because of that but I don’t think it affected my performance.
“I’m unbelievably excited to watch myself on TV.”
Vanessa, who sings across the UK and on cruise ships with her band The Look, applied for the show last summer after boyfriend and band-mate Richard persuaded her.
She cannot say how she got on, but the show airs on BBC 1 at 7pm.
