Peterborough Lido opens for the summer season tomorrow, Saturday May 28, and it’s FREE all day!
The Mayor, David Sanders, will officially open the pool at 10am and rather than pay the normal admission rates, families can enjoy the facilities absolutely FREE!
The Lido is then open daily from 9am–7pm until the season closes on Sunday September 4.
The Peterborough Lido was built in 1936 and is enjoyed by over 20,000 visitors every summer.
The outdoor swimming complex offers three heated outdoor swimming pools; a 50m heated main pool, a teaching pool for children and a paddling pool for toddlers.
There’s three large sun-bathing terraces, a large grass lawn and play area for the kids as well as an onsite cafe serving hot and cold food as well as ice-cream and refreshments.
