Pupils from the Whittlesea Learning Trust had the opportunity to join 7,500 other children at the O2 Arena in London to perform as part of The Young Voices Choir.

Fifty-seven members from Park Lane and New Road Primary School choirs had been busy rehearsing a range of songs and choreographed dance moves since September last year.

Staff and parents who attended the event on Friday, January 30 were amazed at the amount of material the choirs had learned, and how professionally they performed, alongside professional musicians.

Susan Bradshaw, Year 6 teacher and music co-ordinator at Park Lane Primary & Nursery School, said: “Their hard work and dedication certainly paid off as they put in a memorable performance to a sell out crowd.

“Young Voices is an amazing musical and charitable organisation and we are very proud to have been part of it. Roll on next year!”
