In February 1959 Buddy Holly began a string of dates across the American Mid-West.

The Tour was called The Winter Dance Party Tour and included Ritchie Valens, Big Bopper, Dion Di Mucci and Buddy Holly.

The recreation and celebration of the Winter Dance Party Concert, which can be seen at Stamford Corn Exchange on Saturday (December 6), is also the 55th anniversary of that tour.

Marc Robinson, from ‘Stars in their Eyes’, ‘Buddy‘ The Musical and ‘Rockin’ on Heavens Door, is the man himself with help from other West End artists in tribute with the Counterfeit Crickets Band.

Tickets for Buddy Holly’s Winter Dance Party cost £17.50 (concessions £16.50) from the box office on 01780 766455.
