Latin star Carlo Taps into Peterborough’s music scene

Local musician Carlo ‘El Tano’ Parlato makes a guest appearance at The Brewery Tap in November.

Carlos ‘El Tano’ is an amazing musician who has toured with Latin big names like Rikki Martin, Shakira, Gloria Estefan. La Tarres, Manuela Wult, La Mosca, Bisturi and Los Tulipanes.

Argentinian born Carlos stepped in to cover for drummer Mike Miles, joining fellow musicians Hugh Birkenhead - Keys, Martin Jewkes - Saxophone, Lisa Hammond - vocals and Tom Clarke- bass to form the house band for the professional ‘Jam night’ - Jazz Jam at the Brewery Tap on October 20.

‘El Tano’ is an amazing musician whose life revolves around drumming.

It is his passion and profession and he has been teaching drums for many years in and around the Peterborough area.

Jazz Jam returns to the Brewery Tap on Sunday, 17 November.

Before that at The Brewery Tap the (fake) blood will be flowing tonight, (Friday 1 November).

To celebrate Halloween the Tap cocktail menu is taking a spooky twist, with DJs playing all your favourite classics.

DJ Andy Hilders will be playing the best new and classic indie from 9pm till late and there is a killer fancy dress competition - with a £25 bar tab to spend on the night

On Sunday is the Oakham Mic Night, a monthly open mic ‘n’ jam event.

If you can sing or play an instrument then pop along from 6pm.

The Open Mic ‘n’ Jam night is sponsored by Oakham Ales and is free entry.

The Brewery Tap is part of the Oaka Group which also includes Charters Bar.

On Friday The Rocket Dogs are playing at Charters from 10:30pm, while on Sunday Adrian Duffy is live and unplugged from 3.30pm. Both events are free entry.
