Leading British trumpeter Damon Brown brings his latest international quintet to the Peterborough Jazz Club, on Saturday at the Great Northern Hotel, featuring two of the finest jazz musicians from the USA.
Alto saxophonist Jesse Davis is one of the new young lions of jazz coming out of New Orleans. Equally influenced by Charlie Parker, Cannonball Adderley and Sony Stitt, Jesse contributes a flawless technique and a natural feeling for the blues to every one of his performances.
William “Billy” Hart is a jazz drummer and educator who has performed with some of the most important jazz musicians in history, including Jimmy Smith (1964-1966), Wes Montgomery (1966-1968), McCoy Tyner, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock’s Sextet (1969-1973), and Stan Getz (1974-1977).
