A BLUES legend returns to the village of Castor, near Peterborough, on Saturday (9 October) for the latest Shakedown concert.
Texan boogie woogie legend Little Willie Littlefield will come to England for a performance at Castor Village Hall.
Born in 1931 in El Campo, Little Willie cut his first record at the tender age of 17, before firmly establishing himself as one of the leading proponents of west coast rhythm and blues.
His long career has seen its ups and downs, as the golden age of boogie shuffled to an end, but Willie’s status as one of the last surviving practitioners of the form has allowed him to enjoy something of a renaissance in his later years.
Although he announced his retirement 10 years ago, after playing throughout the world, Shakedown has managed to get him back to the UK for a few shows.
Little Willie Littlefield will be at the venue from 8pm on Saturday.
Tickets, priced £16 in advance, are available on 01733 380249. Tickets will also be available at the door.
