Motown On Tour, featuring Original Drifters’ member Roy G Hemmings is a celebration of 50 years of Motown, with hits by The Supremes, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye,The Jacksons, Stevie Wonder and Lionel Ritchie and many, many, more legendary artists and classic songs.
This electrifying show - which is coming to Peterborough’s Cresset on Saturday (March 14th)featuring such classic hits as “Baby Love”, “Dancing In The Street”, “My Girl”, “I Can’t Help Myself”, “I Heard It Through The Grapevine”, “Reach Out” ‘’ All Night Long’’and many, many, more to have you dancing in front of, as well as singing in your seat .
Front man Roy G Hemmings has been the longest serving member of The Drifters and has appeared at prestigious venues around the world, including a memorable performance at the White House for the then president Bill Clinton.
This action packed full evening show features “The Love Supremes” as well as “The Tops & Tempts” performing accurate portrayals of Motown’s legendary vocal groups from Detroit.
Under the musical direction of acclaimed arranger and saxophonist Anna Brooks, the 7-piece’ Dictionary of Soul’ mainstay backing band comprises some of Britain’s finest musicians and provides the accompaniment for this 100 per cent live show.
