The secret artist is offering an 'imaginary doorway' into new worlds in which eagle-eyed visitors to Cambridge may notice when they are walking through the city centre's busy streets. Dinky Door is an anonymous artist who creates tiny doorways which measure around six inches in height and three inches in width. The gateways include a miniature 10 Downing Street - which has been placed on Downing Street, in Cambridge - Reality Checker, at Cambridge's Reality Check Point, in Parker's Piece, and Teleport-O-Matic machine, in the Market Square. An anonymous spokesperson from Dinky Doors said: "Something has to be done to open doors of hope to other worlds. We want worlds of beauty happiness, wonder kindness and love and to create portals to these worlds so others may peak inside and be reminded that the world needn't be so bleak." The small artwork pieces are designed to help bring more joy to the world. The artist wants passersby to use their imagination when they spot a Dinky Door in the street as he says the doors will be able to "teleport" you to other "happier" worlds. The artist added: "Lots of people walk straight past without noticing, but kids usually stop and have a look. We just want it to delight people."
