Former Bluetones frontman’s solo gig at The Met

After a couple of trial runs, there is a sell out show on the October 30 with Dead Reynolds, Call to The Faithful and Christian Smith

The following night there is a sell out show with Vigilantes, The Extons and Sages of The Subway. This show sold out so fast the club added a Sunday show too.

And on November 14 local Motown band The Contacts will be on stage.

The Bridge Street club will then be featuring a solo acoustic performance by Mark Morriss, best known as lead singer of Britpop outfit The Bluetones.

The singer-songwriterfronted the indie outfit over a successful and fruitful 15-year period, scoring 14 top ten singles and three top ten albums, whilst touring the UK, Europe and Japan, before temporarily disbanding in 2011.

The gig on November 27 will be ‘socially distanced’ with a much reduced capacity – and with The Bluetones holding the record for five sell-out shows at The Met, tickets are expected to be in demand.

The event is all seated and advance tickets priced at £13.50 are available now from skiddle.com.

Coyotes Bar and Grill at Northminster Road have Velcoity from 7pm tomorrow ( Friday) and Repose from 7pm on Saturday. Bookings via the bar’s facebook page.

DJing duo Eclectic Ballroom will be hitting the decks for their first live event since lockdown on Friday (23rd).

Join them at The Queen’s Head in Peterborough city centre for a socially distanced affair from 6pm through until 10pm.

Expect an eclectic mix of soul, funk and disco, to get those toes -a -tapping and those hands-a -clapping.

Peterborough Conservative Club on Broadway has entertainment from Barry Chase (new to the club) on Saturday from 7pm to 9.50pm.
