Wells is a winner on the Two Island Pool

Float Fish Farm Fishery continues its good form, although the Saturday open match was not quite as good as expected given the huge weights taken from the Two Island Pool recently.

Leading the way with 79lb 6oz was Roy Wells who caught on a feeder from peg 32. Runner-up and just missing out on the golden peg jackpot was Phil Jones. He fished the pole with pellet for 77lb 5oz from peg eight.

Then came Alan Wiggins on 76lb 4oz, with most of his catch falling to a pellet and paste approach.

The form of the Narrows on the Forty Foot Drain shows no real improvement for those fishing the Thursday matches.

In the latest Ramsey club match Paul Kilby topped the field with just 3lb 8½oz and that weight even included a tench. Runner-up on a level 2lb was Keith Rayment.

Sport was a little better on the Forty Foot Drain for the Sunday club match which saw Kilby once again take the honours with a net of small fish and eels weighing 8lb 12½oz.

Harry Young claimed second spot with 6lb 11oz of small fish, followed by Keith Rayment in third place with 3lb 1oz.
