TRIATHLON: Bronze for Brill at RAF Scampton

Peterborough Triathlon Club (PACTRAC) youngster Flo Brill made the podium at the RAF Scampton Junior Duathlon at the weekend.

Brill, who is a top cross-country runner with Nene Valley Harriers, came a gallant third, finishing just 15 seconds behind the winner and just five seconds adrift of the runner-up.

She was catching the two in front on the final run, but ran out of time.

Clubmate Safford Hewitt-White was in a group of three chasing hard for a podium spot in her race, but just missed out.

PACTRAC’S Giles Cooper recorded a time of 3:27:05 for 1,584th place in the Manchester Marathon.

PACTRAC’s Dave Allsop competed in the African Ironman Triathlon Championships in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, and finished in 11:34:22 (423rd) over the classic Ironman distances of swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles and run 26.2 miles. He was 34th in his age group.
