There hasn't been as many anglers on the weekend Decoy Lakes opens of late, but those not attending are missing out on some fantastic sport.

JVAC fished the Willows on the Decoy complex and Mick King topped a very strong field with 146lb 3oz.

He drew peg one and caught for most of the day on a short pole line with worm and paste.

Second with 135lb 1oz was Ian Carter on peg 25.

He drew one of the best feeder pegs at Decoy but to his horror pulled his £200 plus feeder rod out of his holdall only to find it in several bits so had to fish the match with a tiny lightweight feeder rod. Arm-aching stuff!

Third place went to Lee Kendall who caught shallow on pellet for 119lb 3oz.
