TWO city boxers from the Gary De Roux stable have tough tests when they fight in London tonight.JJ Bird and Tariq Quaddus both face unbeaten opponents on the undercard to the Sam Sexton v Colin Kenna 10-rounder for the vacant Southern Area heavyeweight title.
Bird (22), who enters the ring on the back of two narrow points defeats, will be looking to halt that losing trend when he takes on Grant Skehill (25) from Wanstead. But he'll have to inflict a first defeat on his opponent to achieve it. Skehill has won all seven of his pro bouts too date.
Bird has a record of four wins, three defeats and a draw.
Quaddus (19), who made a winning pro debut when he beat experienced Welshman Jamie Ambler on points a fortnight ago, comes up against Richie Collins, a 20 year-old light-heavyweight from Brierley Hill who has won three and drawn one of his four bouts so far.
