Back in August both brought home bronze medals from the SnowSport England 43rdAll England Artificial Dry Slope Championships in Silksworth, Sunderland.

The courses set at this slalom event were exceptionally challenging and saw a number of skiers unable to finish the first run.

Lucy, who is in the younger half of the under 14 girls, was determined to deliver two clean runs. Her reward was third place and to be the 14th fastest woman from a starting list of over 40 experienced racers.

Jasper raced in the under 10 boys event and also secured third place after a great technical ski.

After that race Jasper went on to win the Eastern Region Ski Association’s summer league and become the Eastern Region’s dry slope and overall champion for 2018 in his age category. Lucy, in her first season of senior racing, was third in the under 14 girls league.

Before heading off to the mountains to train, both raced in the British Independent Schools Indoor Championships at Milton Keynes’ SnowZone on 1 October. Jasper took gold in the under 10 boys and Lucy silver in the under 14 girls.
