STAMFORD CHARITY CUP: Old boys return to Castor for quarter-final tie

It's always a special occasion when Rob Vitas returns to Castor CC.

The Ketton Lions overlord spent a decade in charge of the Port Lane outfit before leaving after a disagreement over ambition and club policy.

But Vitas is back on his old patch tonight (May 23) in a Stamford Charity Cup quarter-final his team should win, especially if another Castor old boy Ashley Rodgers experiences some rare midweek action.

There are also quarter final ties at Bourne, Burghley Park and Market Deeping this evening.

There are four group matches in the Jaidka Cup on Wednesday (May 25) with the game of most significance at Ramsey. The winner of that game against March will advance to the quarter-finals with the losers going out.
