THE Royal Navy have climbed on board the good ship Panthers as part of their recruitment drive.
The two parties have signed a formal sponsorship deal that will see the Navy have a presence at all Panthers home meetings. Their mobile recruitment stand can normally be found on the first and second bends.
Liuetenant Matt Paterson said: “We are delighted to have become strategic partners with Peterborough Panthers are look forward to supporting their efforts in the Sky Sports Elite League.
“The Royal Navy believes it offers ‘a Life Without Limits’ to potential recruits while the Royal Marines’ ‘State of Mind’ ethos enables them to fight and win on operations around the world.
“I would suggest this way of thinking maps across perfectly to the Panthers’ will to win both at the Showground and on their travels.”
Panthers are managing that just fine on their Showground shale with five successive victories this term, but they could do with a hand on the road after slumping to six straight defeats after an opening day of the season triumph at Coventry.
