Panthers promoter Ged Rathbone was thrilled by a bumper Bank Holiday Monday turnout at the East of England Showground.
Rathbone reckons the club’s KO Cup first round, first leg tie against Plymouth Devils attracted the best attendance of the season at Alwalton.
And he is hopeful the terrific entertainment on offer during the a narrow 46-44 success will persuade plenty of those present to return.
Rathbone said: “We asked the fans to turn out in force on Monday and they certainly didn’t disappoint.
“I have not yet had the exact figures, but it was comfortably our biggest crowd of the season and that pleases me immensely.
“The racing has been fantastic all season and the riders deserve to be performing in front of big crowds after such a good run of late.”
