Peterborough Panthers are represented by Robert and Simon Lambert in tonight’s (May 20) British semi-final at King’s Lynn,
In-form Simon Lambert received a late call-up to race following a couple of injury withdrawals. He had initially been set to act as a reserve for the meeting at the Adrian Flux Arena.
The top seven finishers assured of places in the British Final at Wolverhampton next month.
Robert Lambert has the benefit of home-track advantage and Panthers team boss Carl Johnson is confident his young prodigy can achieve the top-seven finish necessary to secure his spot in the showpiece at Wolverhampton next month.
Johnson said: “Hopefully Robert can take his terrific league form into this important individual meeting.
“If he does that I am sure he will have no problem in making it through to the final.”
The Lamberts are seeking to become the second Panthers rider to book their place in the British Final.
Lewis Blackbird powered through from the first semi-final at Sheffield earlier this month.
