Team boss Carl Johnson said: “I’m looking forward to working with Emil again and I’m sure he will have a point to prove after we released him in 2016.

“He is someone who has huge potential and this is his time to push forward. He is excellent around the Showground and should provide a massive amount of points from his position in the team.”

Grondal joins countrymen Ulrich Ostergaard and Michael Palm Toft in the Panthers side for 2018. Finnish ace Nike Lunna and Lincolnshire lad Simon Lambert are also confirmed members of the team.

Grondal said: “I started my English career with Peterborough and I’m delighted to be back for 2018.
