SNOOKER: Perry gets off to a grand start

Joe Perry was in red-hot form as the Ladbrokes World Grand Prix got underway in Llandudno yesterday (March 8).

The Chatteris cueman took on Barry Hawkins in the first round and smashed him 4-0. He made a break of 88 in the second frame and a superb 133 in the last frame - the highest in the tournament so far.

Perry now takes on either Jamie Jones or Kyren Wilson in the second round tomorrow night.
