SNOOKER; Perry fights back to reach last 16 in the Grand Prix
Joe Perry is through to the last 16 of the Ladbrokes World Grand Prix.
The 43 year-old from Chatteris overcame Mark Williams 4-2 yesterday (February 7) at Preston Guild Hall to set up second round clash with either Mark Selby or Martin Gould tomorrow. Selby and Gould play their first round match later today.
Perry, runner-up to Ronnie O’Sullivan in his last tournaemnt - the Dafabet Masters - fell 2-0 behind against Williams but rallied to win the next four frames.
He made breaks of 54 and 52 in the third frame and then an 84 in the next.
