Top pair were George Scally and John Hill with a combined weight of 20lb 12oz.

Gordon Harmer and Neil Bourne came second with 20lb 9oz followed by Marcus Webb and Paul DeCellio on 17lb 1oz.

With only four matches left to qualify for the two-day Easter final at Rookery Waters, it’s all getting very competitive.

Vinny Easy took the honours in the latest match with 92lb 2oz of carp caught on corn and maggot.

Runner-up was Dave Rawlings from peg five with a level 77lb, followed by Mark Pollard on 57lb 10oz.

Another close match for the over 60s at Rookery Waters saw Littleport angler Bob Coulson take top spot from peg two using corn and maggot for 54lb 12oz. Runner-up was Will Hadley on 46lb 12oz followed by Jim Garratty 41lb 8oz.
