RUTLAND LEAGUE: Ufford lead a day of shocks, four wickets for 13 year-old, club record for Hook
Relegation-threatened Ufford Park provided the headline act by becoming the first team to beat leaders Bourne this summer.
Bourne did field a heavily-weakened team and Ufford took full advantage dismissing their visitors for just 126 before recording a six-wicket win.

Hide AdIt was a solid all-round team performance from Ufford led by Tom Wilson (4-31) and Paul Bentley (24).
But Bourne still hold a sizeable lead over the rest as nearest challengers Nassington, Wisbech and Oundle were all beaten as well.
Nassington fell by 76 runs at Stamford for whom Andy Hulme (73) continued his strong run of recent form. Hulme dominated Stamford’s 201 before Liam Dave (4-14) undermined the Nassington reply.
Wisbech lost a tight game at Market Deeping by five runs after failing to overhaul the home side’s modest 171. Nick Green completed an excellent personal weekend for Deeping with 78, while Jack Hargreaves cracked 66 for Wisbech.

Hide AdYasir Mirza blasted a ton as Barnack beat Oundle by 86 runs, but the real fireworks in this game came from the losers’ Lewis Northrow who smacked six sixes in his rapid 43.
The only match that followed the formbook was Peterborough Town’s 152-run win at bottom club Uppingham.
Chris Milner claimed his first century for a couple of seasons in Town’s 278-3, while emerging teenage talent Kieran Judd made 84.
The Town highlight though was the performance of 13-year-old slow bowler Karampal Singh who bagged 4-27 in 12 overs as Uppingham were dismissed for just 126.

Hide AdKetton will be playing the big boys next season. They are a colossal 84 points clear at the top of Division Two after making it 13 wins from 13 games with a 10-wicket success at Newborough.
Left-arm seamer Shakir Mahmood was the chief destroyer with 7-33 as Newborough were skittled for a paltry 81.
And for the second Saturday in a row the Spalding CC individual high score was beaten.
Last weekend (July 23) Hafiz Majeed smacked 158 in a South Lincs Premier Division win over Long Sutton. Yesterday young Jimmy Hook hammered 160 in a Rutland Division Six win at Moulton Harrox seconds.
