Vieira hat-trick as Peterborough Sports beat Stamford in an FA Cup thriller, Wisbech scrape through, Deeping bow out, Yaxley win a shootout in a League Cup tie
In a ding-dong affair, Sports led 2-0 through a brace of Avelino Vieira goals in the opening 14 minutes, but Rob Morgan and a stunning strike from Joe Burgess drew the Daniels level before the break.
The game looked to have tipped firmly in Sports favour again when Stamford’s Chris Salt was dismissed for an apparent stamping offence early in the second-half.

Hide AdBut the visitors took the lead seven minutes from time through Eliot Putman only for Vieira to complete his hat-trick in the 91st minute before Josh Moreman grabbed a last-gasp winner for the home side.

Yaxley pipped a weakened St Ives side 2-0 on penalties in a Southern League Cup tie last night. Yaxley led 2-0 before St Ives fought back to draw level at In2itive Park. Tom Waumsley and Matt Sparrow scored for the Cuckoos.
